The former DCR headquarters buildings on East Street are a past reminder of the simplicity that went along with life in Mt Washington 50+ years ago. These outbuildings were part of a little gas station that was taken out along with several large trees by a tornado in the late 1930’s .. The property at the time was owned by Bill Hunt, a resident , a contractor and the creator of Hunt’s Pond.
